"Called up this insurance provider and went through the process of getting a property insurance quote. Everything went good, initially, and I was making arrangements to move forward with them. However, I got a voice message about 2 hours later that due to a hail claim in the last 3 years (who doesn't have a hail claim in Heights/Killeen? Seems we get hail every spring) they can't write a policy for me. Would've been nice to have known that at the beginning of the call before wasting 30+ minutes of my time getting my info just to tell me they can't issue me a property insurance policy.."
"You are right, Alec. So sorry that you can't get that time back. State Farm has become very strict on rental properties and that's a rather new eligibility update. Some carriers simply don't insure them at all anymore. If I made the eligibility rules, we'd have a lot more business. After all, I don't make a living not selling insurance. Sorry we wasted your time today. I hope you find a policy that is just right for you. "
